About Us
Eta Sigma Alpha |
Eta Sigma Alpha is the first honor society established exclusively for homeschooled students in Grades 9-12. Founded in 1999 by Joanne E. Juren, M.Ed., Executive Director of the Home Education Partnership of Texas Inc., after her sons and others in a local support group were denied acceptance into NHS. Since then, it has grown into a national organization.

Zeta Epsilon |
In the summer of 2004, Betsy Huggins, Teresa Farson, Sandy Nuckols, and Kim Tyler met with a common goal: to provide an organization where homeschooled students who excelled academically could encourage one another through service, fellowship, and the pursuit of knowledge. We thank those women for pioneering the Zeta Epsilon chapter of the ESA.

Today's ZENHS |
Most ZENHS meetings are on the first Friday of the month during the academic year from 3:30 - 5 pm at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church located at 1400 Suther Road in the University area of Charlotte. Some of our meetings are on non-first Fridays due to conflicting holidays.
Our student-led meetings provide for leadership development through committee participation, compassion through community service projects, motivation and inspiration through relevant guest speakers, and just good old fun through social activities. What ZENHS students are saying about ZE:
